Questions an epitalon search leaves open

How can I check the people involved?

Ask for exact names first. A logo cannot answer a licence question.

Check the people who offer care

Ask for the doctor’s full name, profession and licence number. Then match those details to the official record.

The public records from state medical boards show doctors’ licence status and actions taken over their conduct.

Follow the medical-board directory below to find your state board’s own search.

Doctors with MD and DO after their names may come under different boards in some states. These letters name two medical degrees. Ask which board holds the doctor’s licence, then search that board’s record.

Ask who would make and send the product

The name of an online service may not identify the pharmacy that makes a medicine to order.

A medicine made to order is called a compounded medicine. It differs from a ready-made drug-company product.

Request the pharmacy’s exact name before treating a product claim as settled.

Pharmacy licences are checked with a state board of pharmacy, a different body from the medical board.

The US drug agency’s (FDA’s) licence-search page links to the pharmacy records for each state.

What does a clean record prove?

A licence record confirms the doctor’s licence status. Even a clean public record gives no quality rating for that doctor’s care.

A licence on its own does not prove a pharmacy supplies medicines properly. Ask separately what medicine it proposes to supply and what makes that supply legal.

As of September 2026, a facility’s registration with the FDA does not mean FDA approval for that facility or its products.

Use the record to answer the licence question. Then ask the separate questions about the proposed product and its evidence.
